One of the hallmarks of Viunatura is active tourism, but it also offers more eco-tourism-oriented activities such as interpretative hiking. a unique opportunity to discover the incredible natural and cultural heritage of the Alcalatén region. We follow the natural trail of the water mills of Lucena, the natural route of the waters of Figueroles and the cultural route of the industrial heritage of Alcora.
Our routes take you back to the past to see the history and traditions of the villages in the region and their links to a river environment, since the river Lucena was the main economic axis of the area. We will visit the mills that played such a large part in the lives of local people, discover the systems designed to make use of the water, find out about the local flora and fauna and talk about the main industry that kept the villages alive for so many years.
An added touch to the routes are gastronomic experiences of typical products of the area.
Special attention is paid in these experiences to valuing the environment and also to environmental education and awareness raising, and by doing so make tourism an activity that has the least possible impact and works in hand in hand with sustainability.
